Colors of Winter, 2011 Edition

Last year I posted about colors and how I like to look at catalogs and see what colors they were able to "invent" for the year. LL Bean is my favorite catalog for doing this project. This year was a little different---they used the colors we know, like red and blue, and added words in front of them to give them more definition instead of inventing totally new colors. Does it work? We'll see. Also, plaid seems to be back in this year (at least in the catalog).

Here we go--men's colors first:

mountain red
black watch
carbon navy
forest shade
iron blue
graystone

And the women's colors:

nautical red
purple horizon
moss khaki
silver pine
tidal teal
boreal blue
fossil brown

Definitely not as many new ones in the past and not as inventive either. Must be budget cuts in the art department...
